1932 East High History

The 1932 East High School football team is considered one of the greatest in Harvard Cup History. The "Orientals" compiled a 5-0-1 record on their way to winning their first Harvard Cup title. The team featured Warren "Buddy" Rosar, Dan Dalfanso, Clyde Friert, Clarence Mauer, Louis Weinkowski, Russell Kurtz and Ray Ratajczak. The team could have been better. The legendary Sherwood Bleb saw his football career come to an end due to a serious automobile accident prior to the season. He had been one of the top running backs in the city as a sophomore. Bleb and Rosar probably would have been the two best running backs in the city if it had been for the accident. Vito Grieco was an All-High center in 1931 and 1933, but sat out the 1932 season due to illness.

The East High School football team went undefeated and unscored upon during the 1936, 1937 and 1938 football seasons.
